• Ink spitting? - thicker beveled blade might do the trick
• Incorrect blade angle? - the wrong angle prevents the blade from wiping excess ink off the anilox
• Incorrect installation? - be sure to have:
  • Beveled edge facing the right way,
  • The right height,
  • No wobbles - straight blades apply an even pressure over the anilox.

• Wear and damages at the edge of the blade? - damaged blades are easily missed. Avoid streaks and keep a spare chamber and new doctor blades for quick changeovers
• Blade thickness? - Do not use too thin or too thick blades for the job
