Transition in Packaging - Innovations from Fachpack trade fair

From 27 to 29 September we visited the European trade fair for packaging, technology, and processing FACHPACK in Nürnberg.

A lot is happening in the packaging industry. This year it's about "Transition in Packaging" - sustainability, e-commerce and digitalization.

We heard the stories from those who are actively shaping this change right now and learned about innovative packaging and labeling solutions like packaging and depackaging machines, packaging materials, label printers, palletizers, and equipment for packaging recycling.

Especially we want to draw attention to innovative sustainable and recyclable materials that can replace plastic packaging. Thus protecting the end consumer and the environment.

It seems unbelievable that 13 million tons of plastic end up in the seas and oceans every year. Every week we eat 5g of plastic because food is stored in plastic packaging. 1,8 particles of plastic are consumed from water alone. And 40% of produced plastic is used for packaging.

That is why alternative natural materials are so important today!
